This is yet another dialogue between a sitting leader (perhaps, President Muhammadu Buhari) and a party member or political jobber. Their conversation is about their strategy for winning the next presidential election. He recommends to the president that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) should promise what their “opponents are not promising” like “#50,000 minimum wage” (roughly $150)
Ultimately, this cartoon seems to be a commentary about the lack of civic literacy among the supporters of politicians, and the extent to which they are willing to go to stay at the corridors of power.
