Biography
Talal Nayer is a journalist, cartoonist and graffiti artist from northern Sudan. Born in 1983, Nayer has been influenced by artists like Syrian Ali Ferzat and Cuban Arístides Esteban Hernández Guerrero. He considers cartooning the most positive way to express himself; he hopes to use his work “to carry the message of awareness to [the Sudanese people], and show them the way back to democracy and social equality.” His biting political cartoons appear regularly in African Writing Magazine, Cartoon Movement and the Saudi Gazette Newspaper.
