Khalid Albaih is a Sudanese cartoonist based in Doha, Qatar. At the start of his career, Albaih found it difficult to get published so he turned to social media. Now on Facebook under the name Khartoon, Albaih uses satire and cartooning to comment on social and political events around the world, focusing especially on the Middle East and Sudan. His cartoons became important symbols during the Arab Spring. Albaih’s cartoons have been exhibited around the world and he is a member of Cartoon Movement.
