Dieudonné Rakotonomenjanahary, better known under the alias Ndrematoa, has been a professional cartoonist and comic artist since 1978. In addition to several of his own published collections of cartoons, Ndrematoa has published in numerous newspapers, including Atrika, Vaovao, Capricorne, and Le Cri Du Margouillat. Ndrematoa has national fame in Madagascar, his work has been prominently exhibited in the French Institute of Madagascar and the National Library. Part of his national recognition comes from working with the Department of Communication in the 1980s and his continued work with the French Institute of Madagascar. He has twice been elected the best cartoonist of the “Gasy Bulles” comic festival in Madagascar.
