Leslie Lumeh is a celebrated Liberian cartoonist, artist, and illustrator. Since the end of the civil war in 2003 and his return from exile in Cote d’Ivoire, Lumeh has opened the Art of the Heart Gallery, in Monrovia, and is the chairman of a local art organization, Liberia Artists Association Inc. Leslie Lumeh’s art and cartoons have been featured in publications worldwide, including CNN African Voices, BBC Focus, ArtsWorld on Al Jazeera, and more. Lumeh’s cartoons are published daily in the Liberian newspaper, Daily Observer.
