Biography
Yusuf Ben Barry, better known as Oscar, is the head of illustrations and caricatures for the satirical weekly newspaper, Le Lynx. Oscar’s fearless caricatures of prominent political officials, especially those of the former president Lansana Conté, have earned him a faithful following of readers. Oscar is involved with encouraging political cartooning through conferences and classes in spite of the small number of political cartoonists in Guinea.
