Biography
King Kinya (b. 1977) is originally from the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. He has worked as a freelance journalist and artist for a number of publications including Spoti Starehe, Uwazi, Kiongozi, Dar Leo, Majira, and Sanifu. King Kinya has a deep interest in social justice and tries to incorporate themes related human rights and social justice into his comics, illustrations, and paintings. His work has been exhibited at the National Museums of Tanzania, Nyumba ya Sanaa in Dar es Salaam, and at the Zanzibar Film Festival.
