Biography
Edmund Harmse was a freelance journalist and cartoonist who hailed from Port Elizabeth, where he worked for joke magazines like Lag ‘n Bietjie Daar and Giggles and Gags starting in 1973. In addition to his cartooning, Harmse is well known for publishing the comics fanzines Comics News and Comix Collector in the 1990s. These fanzines served as an inspiration to other comic collectors in South Africa.
