Biography
Sérgio Zimba is a Mozambican cartoonist, well-known for his sketches that address and educate readers on societal issues such as gender inequality and health. In addition to his cartoons that appear in various newspapers, Zimba has also published numerous books; his bibliography can be seen below. Zimba has been applauded for his more than twenty-five years of cartooning; to commemorate this achievement and his 50th birthday, an exhibition of 50 cartoons was shown at the French Cultural Centre in Maputo called “25 & 50 pela paz em casa! Pela paz na terra!” (25 & 50 for Peace at Home! For Peace on Earth!).
