Desiderio Manresa Bodipo (b. 1979), also known as “Mene,” is a visual artist from Equatorial Guinea. Primarily a painter, Manresa Bodipo has worked with watercolor, pencil, pastel, and oil. Much of this work touches on social and political themes and public health issues such as HIV/AIDS and malaria. Manresa Bodipo works with other artistic mediums including public art displays, murals, and comics. His paintings are often on display at the Spanish Cultural Center in Malabo where he regularly participates in painting courses and workshops. Some of Manresa Bodipo’s paintings are also part of a permanent display at Museo d´Art de Girona in Barcelona.
