Samuel Daïna, born in 1982, spent his childhood in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where he discovered his passion for drawing. Inspired by his brother, himself a cartoonist under the name of Louis-René Mangué, Daina devoted himself to cartooning, once resettled back in Chad. In 1999, he was recruited as a cartoonist in the local newspaper ” N’Djamena bi-hebdo “. Very quickly, he took up several other newspapers in the region. In May 2008, Daina received a fellowship from the Coopération Française to settle in Lyon where he lived for 2 months before moving to Paris. He currently still lives in Paris.
