Biography
Edward A. Groves began publishing cartoons in 1946 in The Sporting News where he served as art editor. From 1950-3, he published a series of cartoons about the traditional life of blacks in the Weekend Cape Argus. When he retired in 1977, he worked on humorous advertisements for The Civil Engineering Contractor and other publications. He died in 1985.
